Unfold

Something un-knotted in me the other night,

A release of tension and fear,

Curling slowly away from the place its laid balled up for so long,

Curling, twisting

The pressure released and I could breathe, even just for an instance,

I allowed myself to be me, to not hide parts I didn’t want showing.

Unpleated and open,

You came and lit a match,

Even though now, I’m folding back,
